Training
All of our security officers are put through the comprehensive training that is necessary to work as security guards in the state of New York. In addition, we provide our staff with training in customer service as well as all of the required firearms training that is necessary to obtain a license to work as an armed security officer.
8 hours of required annual in-service training
If you hold a security guard registration, you are required to finish this course at the end of each calendar year. Your registration is valid for two years; consequently, in order to be eligible for renewal, you are required to successfully complete two 8-hour Annual In-Service training courses between the dates that your registration is effective and when it expires.
Every officer who works for COMPLIMENT Security Services is required to participate in a required in-service training session that lasts for eight hours. During this time, the most recent strategies, security tools, and best practices for providing security are discussed in depth. Additionally, each officer receives a refreshed understanding of the duties and responsibilities that are assigned to them.
Pre-Assignment Training Lasting 8 Hours

Before submitting an application to the Department of State for a security guard license, every security guard is required to finish a pre-assignment training course lasting 8 hours and an on-the-job training course lasting 16 hours. Together, these training courses total 24 hours.
Pre-assignment training for our officers consists of eight hours of classroom time, as mandated by state law. 16 hours of on-the-job training will be provided.
